This month, I am deviating from the usual tone of Mirror Wealth posts.
I come not with recommendations, tips, or financial advice — but with a devotional.
A few years ago, I went through a major career transition. I was leaving the world of employment and stepping into entrepreneurship. What I believed would be a life-changing opportunity became one of the most difficult seasons of my life.
My business failed.
My life savings diminished.
And my hope? That felt non-existent.
Ironically, my background in investment advisory and wealth management did not protect me from financial hardship. I had spent years helping people manage wealth, yet I still found myself navigating financial chaos, uncertainty, and disappointment.
It was a humbling season.
And in many ways, it forced me to confront a difficult question:
What do you do when you have done all that you know to do?
What do you do when the job applications go unanswered?
When you have poured everything into your business, but it just will not respond?
When you are emotionally exhausted from trying to hold everything together?
You hope against all hope.
Easier said than done, I know. But this is a road I have personally walked.
During that season, I learned that trusting God with your finances is not only about believing Him when things are stable. It is also about trusting Him in uncertainty, disappointment, delay, and lack. It is about learning to hold onto hope when the outcome you prayed for has not yet arrived.
From that journey, I wrote a 5-day devotional called Trusting God With Your Finances, now available on the YouVersion Bible App.
This devotional is for anyone who feels tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed in the area of finances. It is a reminder that even in difficult seasons, there is still hope.
If you are navigating financial uncertainty right now, I pray this reading plan encourages you to keep trusting, keep believing, and keep hoping.
Because your current season is not the end of your story.
